Do I need my exact birth time?
The birth time determines the Ascendant and the astrological houses, the most precise elements of the chart. Without it, you can still read the Sun, the Moon and the planetary aspects, but the portrait will be less complete. If you do not know it, an astrological rectification is sometimes possible.
What is the difference between a natal chart and a horoscope?
The everyday horoscope (in magazines or apps) is based solely on your sun sign and predicts general tendencies for everyone born under that sign. The natal chart, however, is calculated for your precise date, time and place: it is an individualized portrait, unique to you.
Do planets really influence our lives?
The answer depends on your frame of reference. In symbolic astrology, planetary positions reflect archetypes and energy cycles. The natal chart is a self-knowledge tool: even if you do not believe in it as exact science, the portraits it draws often resonate with troubling accuracy.
